Arattupuzha Pooram Ends

THRISSUR:The Arattupuzha pooram, known to be the oldest pooram in the state and believed to witness a congregation of almost 33 million gods from the Hindu mythology, came to a close on Thursday, its wee hours witnessing the peak of festivities. More than 71 elephants lined up here, with the host Arattpuzha Shastha and presiding Thriprayar Thevar at the helm of events. On the left of Thriprayar Thevar stood the Chathakkudam Shastha and Oorakattamma, flanked by Cherpu Bhagavathy on the right.
